Base Encoder/Decoder
Convert text to Base16 (Hex), Base32, and Base85 encoding formats and vice versa.
About Base Encoding
- Base16 (Hex): Uses 0-9 and A-F, common in color codes and memory addresses
- Base32: Uses A-Z and 2-7, case-insensitive and URL-safe
- Base85: More efficient than Base64, uses 85 printable ASCII characters
What is the difference between Base16, Base32, Base64 and Base85?+
They use larger alphabets, so the output gets progressively shorter: Base16 (hex) is longest, Base85 is the most compact.
Is Base encoding secure?+
No. These are reversible encodings, not encryption.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?+
No. Encoding happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so your data stays on your device.
