Unix Timestamp Converter
Convert Unix timestamps to dates and back. Detects seconds, milliseconds, microseconds or nanoseconds automatically, with full nanosecond precision.
Detected: seconds (10 digits)
Browsers limit clock precision to about a microsecond, so the final digits of "Now (ns)" are padded with zeros. Conversions of timestamps you type are exact.
Read and convert Unix timestamps
A Unix timestamp counts the time since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC. Systems store it in different units: seconds (10 digits today), milliseconds (13), microseconds (16) or nanoseconds (19). This tool detects which one you pasted and converts it, with full nanosecond precision.
What is a Unix timestamp?+
The number of seconds since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC, also called epoch time.
How do I tell seconds from milliseconds, microseconds or nanoseconds?+
By length: about 10 digits is seconds, 13 is milliseconds, 16 is microseconds and 19 is nanoseconds. The tool detects this automatically, and you can override it.
Does it support nanoseconds?+
Yes. Timestamps are handled as exact integers, so all nine fractional digits are kept, and you can convert dates back with extra nanoseconds.
Is it free?+
Yes. No signup, no limits, no watermarks.
