Password-Protecting a PDF
Adding a password to a PDF helps restrict access to the document so it can’t be opened without the password. This is commonly used for invoices, contracts, personal records, and any file you’d prefer not to share in plain form.
This tool encrypts PDFs with AES-256 encryption algorithm. You can also generate a random password if you don’t want to come up with one manually.
Keep in mind: if you forget the password, you may not be able to recover the content. Store your password somewhere safe (for example, a password manager).
